We got to catch JMSN‘s first ever LA performance, and there’s still a chance to see it! (3 actually) He’s performing that set for you every Monday for the next 3 weeks at “The Bootleg Theater” in Los Angeles, CA. All in all this was an amazing showcase of JMSN’s debut album “Priscilla.” We arrived not really knowing what to expect. Considering the free admission, I would’ve been happy to see him perform with a dj. Instead I got a full fledged band complete with string section and a multi-talented music machine (John Andersson). All of them did an outstanding job replaying production from Priscilla, and also blending new arrangements and melodies you wont hear on the album!
With a solid foundation, JMSN didn’t fail to entertain. Despite a minor technical bump with the soundman, JMSN performed all songs exactly as they are on Priscilla. No effects, no filters, just raw vocals and an amazing collective of musicians backing it all up. This experience is a MUST if you’re in the Los Angeles area. I will hopefully be at a couple more Mondays with as many people as I can invite!
