One of the most humble, nicest, genuine people you could ever come across recently passed away on Jan 23rd, 2010. He was also a rapper, a very talented one at that, and he was as passionate about making music as a person could be. His name is Brandon “Point Game” Burris.
Although a lot of people that knew him online, never met him in person, he still was able to touch a lot of our lives. He was known to give advice, and encouraging words to rappers trying to perfect their craft, and collabing with almost anyone interested in being on a song with him, no matter how much better of an artist he was than them. In his music he shared his deepest, and most personal thoughts, that helped you get an idea of who he was, and what he was going through in life, which is why a lot of us felt like we knew him.
I took the time to look through a bunch of old burned cd’s, and other files that I haven’t accessed in years, and was extremely happy when I came across a bunch of his old music, and the freestyle video I posted above. I uploaded the video, and as much music as I had of his to share with everyone that may never got a chance to hear some of it. This includes albums I purchased from him dating back to 2003 that I ripped to my computer, and uploaded. You can definitely say I’ve been a long time fan of Point Game, and this news was shocking, and sad to hear.
He will live on through his music.

You can see on the links below, that he touched a lot of lives on his short time here on earth, it’s rare to come across a person like him, and it’s sad that he passed. If he knew this many people cared about him, and enjoyed his music while he was here, maybe things could have been different, and he could have overcome his hardships. A few emcee’s from the various message boards he posted at, have recorded Song Tribute’s to him as well, along with t-shirts being printed up, and started a fundraiser to buy musical instruments for the high school he went to, because he wanted to do that while he was living.

A direct quote from a post he made on December 12th, 09 describes how much he loved music.
The way making hip hop makes me feel is to real to stop whether or not guap’s copped till my pocket knots. To fun as well. God blessed me with a talent and I’d be shorting myself and him if i didn’t use it. I love playing piano just as much. Ill never be a famous pianist. I’ll never even be good enough to play it live, but that won’t stop me from not sleeping someday’s between jobs just to hear the melodic sounds of sweetness. Music’s to big a part of me to ever not do. ill be the soloist one day maybe, homeless on the streets, but ill have a notebook, pen, and an instrument. – Point Game
