This week’s Sushi Sunday featured dish is a fiery wrap of Sushi/Pepper goodness. The Spicy Yellowtail/Jalapeno Handroll can be ordered upon request at Hana Sushi in Northridge, CA. Now the above pic has a gigantic jalapeno stuffed into the middle of the roll because our chef knows we are obsessed with jalapeno peppers! But most peppers are sliced alot smaller than that for a handroll, so don’t be intimated! (Read our verdict after the jump!)

SUSHI SUNDAY: Love Potion 69 (Secret Strawberry Sushi Sauce)

“Love Potion 69″ Is a secret sauce Chef Andry Hana Sushi serves upon special request. It is a simple combination of strawberry, wine, and sugar. The result is a very light strawberry flavor layered onto your favorite sushi. We tried (as seen in the photo above) a combination roll, albacore outside, spicy tuna inside. The sauce blends perfectly with most of the common fish you’d order at a sushi bar. Overall it’s a great new experience and something I’m definitely ordering again.

SUSHI SUNDAY: The Lemon Flush

The Lemon Flush Roll (Hana Sushi, Northridge CA)

Now this is one of my all time favorite rolls. Specially prepared by my favorite chef Andy from Hana Sushi. It is essentially a Crab/Scallop roll topped off with a nice cut of Salmon. But what makes this roll stand out is the little Lemon hats on the top of each piece. It is a small cut of fresh lemon placed on the top of an already delicious roll. It is a seafood/citrus fiesta that I’d recommend to ANY fan of sushi.
